Act One
Owner, Mark Scott, from Paramus, NJ, turned 22 the day he and his bandmates singed their first record deal with MCA in 1990. With gallons of hair spray and the will to rock, the Jersey band's self-titled first album went gold, and a couple of their videos were high on MTV's rotation. Trixter rock-starred across the country for five years.
They played the Meadowlands, toured with the Scorpions and KISS, had stalking groupies, tour buses, cash, and their pictures in magazines.
"It's like a cliché, but you never think it's going to end," Scott said." But when the grunge came in the mid-90s, Trixter, along with commercial metal, died with its snakeskin boots on.
Act Two
Scott, the former drummer for Trixter, was the first to quit the band, in 1995. After being in charge of marketing for the national restaurant chain, Dave & Busters, he bought the popular The Copper Bottom restaurant.
He teamed up with chef Enrique Romero, and together the two have been creating award-winning dishes for customers throughout the Hudson Valley, who enjoy good food and hospitality.
